FAQ

What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathic remedies begin as natural substances (usually plant or mineral) and go through a process called potentization, whereby the substances are ultra-diluted and succussed (shaken vigorously) to extract the energy from the substances. Thus, homeopathic remedies are energetic medicines and are therefore 100% safe, free of side-effects, and toxin free.  Because homeopathic remedies are completely safe they can be given to babies, pregnant women, the elderly, and immune compromised individuals.

What should I expect from a Homeopathy session?

For chronic illness you can expect the initial session to be approximately 1.5-2 hours in length. You will be asked to share your health history and complaints. I will illicit symptom patterns from you through detailed questions. I may then need a day or two to analyze your case and determine the best health plan for you. It will include recommendations for homeopathic and/or natural remedies.
For acute illness you can expect a 20-30 minute phone conversation whereby I will illicit as many symptoms as possible to arrive quickly and efficiently to the correct remedy.

What should I expect from Homeopathy?

For both acute and chronic illness– sometimes when a correct homeopathic remedy is taken there can be a temporary worsening of symptoms as you begin to detox before a final and permanent resolution. This temporary ‘aggravation’ tends to be a few minutes or hours in acute situations and in chronic situations they tend to take a couple days but no more than a week. In very complicated cases or when a person has been living with particular ailments for a very long time,  a series of remedies may be needed to achieve optimal health.

What are Homeopathic Remedies?

Homeopathic remedies begin as natural substances (usually plant or animal) and go through a process called potentization; whereby the natural substance is ultra-dilutedand succussed (shaken vigorously) to extract the energy from the original substance. Thus, as energetic medicines, homeopathic remedies are 100% safe, non-toxic, and free of side effects.

Is Homeopathy safe?

Because homeopathy is a holistic energetic medicine it is completely safe, non-toxic, and side effects free for all members of your family, from pregnant mothers, to newborns, and the elderly.

What do postpartum doulas do?

What a postpartum doula does changes from day to day, as the needs of the family change. Postpartum doulas do whatever a mother needs to best enjoy and care for her new baby. A large part of their role is education. They share information about baby care with parents, as well as teach siblings and partners to “mother the mother.” They assist with breastfeeding education. Postpartum doulas also make sure the mother is fed, well hydrated and comfortable. Taken from http://www.dona.org/mothers/faqs_postpartum.php
