I remember the last time I visited Egypt I asked my friends & family for extra car seats for my kids, they laughed at me & called me a typical American.😂 I had a bit of a panic about it but as soon as i landed in Egypt that illusion of control over life & death was instantly snapped away from me & i put them in a taxi with no seat belts, barely a door, a prayer & not even a second thought.

The illusion of control runs deep in the Occident (US/Europe), even i get overtaken by it sometimes & have to work hard not to let my ego get the best of me. (No I am not advocating for no car seats, please use them if/when you can!)
